Kairos is made by Somnara. This page says what Kairos does with your information.

In short

• Your notes stay on your devices. They leave them only if you turn on sync, and then they go to our server, so your other devices and your team can get them.
• No ads, no tracking, no analytics. We don’t sell or share anything about you.
• AI is optional and uses your own key. Requests go from your device straight to Anthropic.

Without an account

Kairos works without an account. Your notes are files on your device, and nothing about them is sent to us.

With an account (sync)

• Your email address, to sign you in (we email you a code) and for team invitations.
• The notes and attachments of what you sync, your vaults and team projects, so your devices and your team can get them. They travel encrypted (HTTPS).
• Where: our server is in São Paulo, Brazil (Hostinger). Attachments and the database’s backups are in Cloudflare R2. Sign-in and invitation emails are sent through Resend.
• Backups are kept for 30 days.
• Team projects: the project’s members see its notes, and who changed what and when.
• Technical logs, such as IP addresses, are kept for a short time, to keep the server running and safe.

Error reports (optional)

Off unless you turn them on. Then the app sends what went wrong and where in its code, with the app’s version and your system. Never your notes’ content, their names, file paths or email addresses. Reports are kept for 90 days.

AI (optional)

Off until you add your own Claude API key. Requests go directly from your device to Anthropic, under their terms, and never through our server. Search by meaning runs on your device; its model is downloaded once.

Updates

The apps check our download server for new versions. Like any web request, that includes your IP address and the app’s version.

This website

No cookies and no analytics.

Your choices

• Stop syncing at any time. Your files stay on your device.
• Delete your account and everything we keep about you: write to hello@kairos.somnara.tech, and we delete it within 30 days.
• Questions: the same address.
